I’ve been Sharice’s campaign manager for long enough to know this: Sometimes, in order to win, you need to get a little uncomfortable.

Like right now. I know it’s the Saturday after Thanksgiving. You’re probably out shopping or enjoying time with family. I’d rather not be emailing you this message (and I’m willing to bet you feel the same way).

But I have to — here’s why: Control of Congress could literally come down to what happens here in KS-03.

Listen, nobody knows what next year’s midterms will look like. But as someone who likes to keep her ear to the ground, I’ll say this: They’re going to be close. To put it another way, control of the House will be decided by the outcome of just a few key districts across the country.

And for all intents and purposes, Sharice’s seat is one of those districts.

If we win this redistricting fight on January 12th? Democrats will be one step closer to taking back Congress. But if we slip up? That’s one fewer seat Republicans have to worry about on Election Day next year.

The fact is, with our monthly fundraising deadline just 24 hours away, we can’t afford to go the rest of the day without a big surge in grassroots donations. So that leaves me no choice but to send this email.
