John, I have spent my entire life being told what I can’t do, then turning around and doing it anyway.

They said a kid from where I’m from, who’s been through what I’ve been through, would never make something of himself. 

They said I’d never get an education - I earned a scholarship to the College of Charleston. 

They said I’d never win an election - then I beat out a 22 year incumbent who’d been in office longer than I’d been alive.

Now they’re saying Democrats will never win in South Carolina, so we should give up and vote in the REPUBLICAN primary. 

Nah.
