Amal holds her one-day old son, Mohammed , who was born at a hospital in Gaza. Newborns like Mohammed are some of the most at risk as we head into the rainy winter season.

“Everything is underwater. Why must this little child sleep in floodwater? I struggled so much just to get this tent, and now nothing protects us. Where will I live with my children now?” shared Sana , a mother of young children in Gaza, with NBC News.

90% of Gaza’s 2 million population are displaced and living in overcrowded tents and makeshift shelters. Last winter, heavy downpours and freezing winds took the lives of newborns, elderly, sick, and starving.

The ceasefire agreement remains intact and hope for a brighter future in Gaza remains. However, these recent downpours are a painful reminder of what’s in store for women and girls in Gaza this winter if more aid isn’t delivered soon.

With needs growing in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and crisis zones around the world, our Giving Tuesday 2X match makes an even more meaningful impact. From now through Giving Tuesday on 12/2, your gift will be 2X-matched up to $350,000 to deliver twice as much lifesaving care to women and girls in need. Please, before temperatures drop further, will you make a gift? [[link removed]?]

Gifts made by supporters like you aid recovery and rebuilding efforts in Gaza now. Our main priorities are:

* Rebuilding damaged maternity wards and clinics, so women can give birth safely and survive pregnancy and childbirth complications
* Mobilizing mobile clinics to reach communities cut off from care by the destruction
* Recruiting and training midwives and community healthcare workers to provide primary care services like family checkups and contraception counseling
* Ensuring the continuous supply of essential medicines, equipment, contraceptives, Mama Kits, and Winter Dignity Kits with warm clothes, blankets, and tarps to keep out the rain

Once we meet the immediate needs of women, girls, and families, our teams will focus on supporting survivors of violence and reestablishing help lines, working with youth to understand their bodies and choices, and building pipelines of healthcare workers.

Your support today will go twice as far to reach women and girls in Gaza and crisis zones around the world with essential sexual and reproductive healthcare they need to rebuild their lives and make decisions for their bodies and families. Please, will you make a gift today and deliver twice the lifesaving care? [[link removed]?]

DOUBLE MY GIFT TODAY [[link removed]?]

We welcome the ceasefire agreement, the release of all hostages by Hamas, and the delivery of lifesaving humanitarian aid in Gaza. We are hopeful that peace will prevail and that the suffering of women, girls, and families will end.

Thank you for being there. We’ll be sharing more updates about your support throughout the giving season.
