Tomorrow at midnight, campaigns across the country (including ours) close
the books on an end-of-month fundraising drive. It's an important one,
especially at the end of a slow month.

So if you're anything like us, you're getting a million requests for
donations via email and text messaging. Today, we're asking for a moment
to explain why we hope you'll choose to give to James Talarico before
November ends.

Here is the truth:

This is going to be a difficult Senate race, but that's only because
victory here will mean everything.

Of course, winning here would likely mean the Senate is flipped. That's
why Republicans will spend whatever it takes to defeat us.

But more than that, in these difficult times, electing someone like James
has a chance to move our politics toward a better place. No, it won't
solve everything — but it will be a breath of fresh air at a time it's
needed most.
