Friend,
“Stop using our children as pawns for policies that don't work. Get them the help that they deserve and need.”
That’s the message Marianne brought to our leaders on Capitol Hill earlier this year.
She lost her son Shawn to overdose after struggling to find adequate treatment. Shawn was a loving and altruistic young man, known as the Mayor of Maple Avenue for always offering a helping hand on his block.
Marianne is a member of this movement, just like you. And she knows the human cost of the drug war in a way that no one should. We fight beside her and parents like her, and we are driven by the love and memories of so many people we’ve lost.
We owe it to all of them to end this horrible drug war.
Giving Tuesday is about generosity. And at the Drug Policy Alliance, it’s also about gathering strength for the fights ahead.
I’m asking you to be generous, to give us that strength, Friend and donate today. Especially while your early Giving Tuesday gift will be triple matched.
