Herbert,
Small Business Saturday is more than a date on the calendar — it’s a celebration of what makes our communities strong.
From the family-owned diners that know your morning coffee order to the neighborhood shops that sponsor our Little League teams, small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. They create jobs, spark innovation, and give our towns their character and heart.
But too often, they’re asked to compete on an uneven playing field. Rising costs, supply-chain disruptions, and outdated federal policies make it harder for entrepreneurs to survive — let alone grow.
As a member of the House Small Business Committee, I’m fighting to change that. That means expanding access to capital, cutting unnecessary red tape, and ensuring local employers have the tools they need to grow, hire, and thrive.
Today, I hope you’ll join me in celebrating the small businesses that keep our community moving forward — and, if you can, shop local to show your support.
