I wanted to follow up on the note Sarah sent this morning. I’ve been tracking our end-of-month progress throughout the day, and I need to be honest about where things stand. We’re still short of the benchmark we set for tonight, so I thought I’d send one last note to you before the weekend.

IA-03 is one of the true toss-up seats in the country, and national Republicans know it. They have already started spending millions to protect Zach Nunn, and every dollar they drop early gives them a chance to pull ahead before most voters are even paying attention. What we raise tonight determines whether we can fully fund the outreach we mapped out for December, especially in some of the counties we’ve lost in the past.

If you’re in a position to help before the day ends, it would make a real difference for our team and for the voters we’re trying to reach across the district.

Hey John, it’s Sarah.

I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I enjoyed some time to slow down with my family, and it reminded me how grateful I am for the people who keep me grounded. I hope this day has given you a moment or two with the people who matter most.

This morning, I’m turning my attention back to the responsibility in front of us (And not just finishing off the leftovers). There is a lot of work ahead, and the choices we make right now will shape how strong this campaign can be in the months to come.

Our end-of-month deadline is coming up quickly, and what we raise now will guide what my team can take on in December. If you’re able, I hope you’ll consider contributing today.

I ran for office because I’ve spent my life showing up for people when it matters most. As a chaplain, as an Americorps VISTA, as a minister, and now as a state senator, service has always guided me. This next step, running for Congress, is no different.

IA-03 is one of the most competitive districts in the country. Zach Nunn’s allies are already spending early to protect him, and we need the resources to match their efforts. Every bit of support today helps us reach more voters in the weeks ahead.
