Campaign Victory: Stop Microplastics Now!
([link removed])
This week, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and six other Governors sent a petition to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) demanding nationwide monitoring for microplastics in drinking water supplies. This is a huge victory for our Stop Microplastics Now! campaign and a momentous step towards future regulation of microplastics!
Now, we’re urging the EPA to grant this petition. ([link removed]) People have the right to know about the microplastic contamination of their drinking water!

Students Walk Out, Demanding “Make Polluters Pay!”
Across California, thousands of students walked out of class in October to support the state’s climate superfund bill, which would make the biggest climate polluters pay for the costs of climate change.
California organizer Isabel Penman marched with students in Oakland ([link removed]), demanding accountability for Big Oil. Young people’s futures are on the line. It’s not fair for them to pay — the burden for climate adaptation and disaster recovery should fall on those most responsible.

Legal Victory! Protecting Michigan’s Water from Factory Farm Pollution
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has finalized a permit that will go a long way in protecting the state’s water from factory farm pollution! Five years ago, we intervened in a case where factory farms attacked EGLE’s proposed permit that reined in their pollution.
Now we’ve helped defeat those attacks and have a foundation of common-sense regulation! ([link removed])
We’ll continue fighting for the clean water Michiganders deserve.

What Comes Next After the Government Shutdown?
Eight Senate Democrats joined Senate Republicans to end the government shutdown with hardly anything to show for it. This is a betrayal of all of us who demanded they use their leverage to stand up to Trump and fight for affordable healthcare and democracy.
Though the government shutdown has ended, the fight for funding is far from over. Our safe water may be in danger from Trump and Congress’s spending cuts. Learn what comes next. ([link removed])

Congress: AI Must Be Regulated!
The Trump administration is steamrolling local governments to give Big Tech a free pass to build massive AI data centers — at the expense of public health, environmental justice, and affordable energy.
Trump and his allies in Congress are working to pass legislation that would fast-track data center buildouts and exempt them from local regulations. Tell Congress: OPPOSE these carveouts for data centers! ([link removed])
