Dear John,

Our much awaited investigation...

Seven years after our original investigation into bird of prey zoos, we went back and did it again.

This time we sent an investigator into three zoos. They worked at each site for a week to get a real look behind the scenes, to see how these places really operate.

You can see our new investigation video by following this link:

Our investigation footage sets a clear scene of the suffering these birds experience everyday.
What we saw

Our findings were clear - birds are living in awful conditions with very little chance of flight, and undergoing cruel training practices:

  • barren and unsuitable enclosures
  • limited access to clean water and shelter
  • routine tethering in housing and displays
  • coercive training practices
  • minimal flight opportunities
Sadly, not much has changed since our original investigation, so we must continue to fight for these birds!
HELP EXPOSE THIS CRUELTY
This is Peaches. She is tied to the post day after day, all to entertain visitors. She chews at her leg straps in pure frustration, desperate to free herself from the agony of captivity.
