Time and again we’re hearing that the people of Wisconsin — and folks all across the country — are desperately waiting for something to be done about the skyrocketing cost of living.

Grocery prices are through the roof, housing is inaccessible, and healthcare costs are set to skyrocket. And what are our “leaders” doing about it?

Well, Donald Trump slashed SNAP benefits for millions of American families, then proclaimed that he doesn’t “want to hear about affordability” anymore.

MAGA Rep. Derrick Van Orden just called Obamacare “a failed program” and committed to raising healthcare premiums for hardworking families already struggling to make ends meet.

And Tom Tiffany, running to be Wisconsin’s next governor, would rather defend Trump’s disastrous tariffs that have sent the costs of everyday necessities through the roof than do anything to tangibly improve the lives of the Wisconsinites he represents.

Luckily, we have the opportunity to change all three of those things come 2026.

If we can build up a well of grassroots support, we can elect our next Democratic governor, unseat Van Orden, and take back the House majority all in one year. We can elect leaders who will actually address kitchen table issues — not make them worse and ignore them.
