I know our campaign sends a lot of emails asking for money. So, I wanted
to pause and explain why these asks are important.

Our political system is broken. Billionaire mega-donors and corporations
can give unlimited money to try to buy elections.

It’s corruption. Plain and simple.

Those billionaire mega-donors will spend whatever it takes to beat us
because they know that our campaign is a threat to their power.

So we have to raise the resources to take them on, and I refuse to take a
dime from corporate PACs. Instead, I’m counting on the people to fuel this
movement.
