Podcast host Rachael Eubanks was appointed as Michigan's 47th State Treasurer by Governor Gretchen Whitmer in January of 2019. Lance Wilkinson was appointed Chief Deputy Treasurer for the Michigan Department of Treasury in July 2025. Previously, he served as Director of the Bureau of Tax Policy, overseeing legal business areas including Direct and Indirect Taxes, Hearings, Tax Technical, and Tribal Affairs. He led the development of tax policy guidance, collaborated with state officials and legislators, managed major tax litigation, and represented Treasury with external stakeholders.
