I know we’re all just coming off the holiday, but I need to level with you.

Is there anything I can say to convince you to make a contribution to my campaign for U.S. Senate before Sunday night?

What if I told you I’m running against two opponents who are taking in millions from corporate PACs and special interests who will buy their loyalty, while our campaign is powered entirely by people like you?

Or that my opponents want to keep the same status quo leadership in Washington that has failed working people again and again, while I’ve spent my career actually delivering for Illinois families and making life more affordable?

Or maybe it’s simply this: If we fall short this weekend, we will head into the final stretch of this campaign at a real disadvantage against campaigns funded by wealthy donors and Washington insiders.

I’m hoping that matters to you — because it matters deeply to me.
