Hi John,

Last month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a new, generic form of the abortion pill. This is a big win for abortion access: a generic form of mifepristone offers a more accessible, lower-cost option of the drug, and proves yet again that the abortion pill is safe and effective. Yet, since then, over 100 anti-abortion groups have signed on to a letter urging Republican lawmakers to advocate for further restrictions of the drug. Anti-abortion groups are after medication abortion – but despite their best efforts, they can’t argue with science. Together, we can continue to fight for the protection of mifepristone in our community as a safe, effective, and accessible way to end a pregnancy.
