Dear friend,
I have so many things I’m thankful for.
I’m grateful for my loving family, especially my husband and kiddo. I’m grateful for the table full of food we’ll have today. And I’m grateful for our ancestors who defied incredible odds to ensure the existence of our Native American community today.
My mom worked hard, but she couldn’t make ends meet without some help. So my grandma, aunties, and our community wrapped their arms around us. They all taught me that we’re all responsible for each other.
We give back because others once helped us. That is why I have spent my life fighting for policies that help all of us — not just the wealthiest among us.
Today, I also want to share my deep gratitude for you - your support and your belief in this movement that we are building together.
My hope for you is a joyful day filled with your loved ones and the space to reflect on what you are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving.
