As we come together this week to celebrate Thanksgiving, I am reminded of the gratitude I share for our wonderful, resilient community. Being your representative is an honor and I am so thankful that you have entrusted me to serve CA-31. I hope this season brings your family, friends, and loved ones together. Each year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we celebrate Small Business Saturday – a day to support our small businesses and shop small. As a member of the House Committee on Small Business, supporting the growth and success of our small businesses is very important to me. Across CA-31, we are fortunate to have so many outstanding small businesses, from cafes and coffee shops to artisan restaurants and boutiques. I hope you will join me and #ShopSmall this Saturday, November 29th.

This Week in California's 31st

This week, we celebrated all of the bright, young students who participated in this year’s CA-31 Congressional App Challenge. Every student who took on the challenge showed off their amazing skill, commitment, and creativity. Congratulations to all our winners this year and thank you to our students and their teachers and parents who supported them!

It was an honor to join the Southern California Medical Center (SCMC) in El Monte at their ribbon cutting for their new urgent care center. The El Monte SCMC delivers quality healthcare to everyone, regardless of income. Thank you to all the healthcare providers whose tireless efforts keep our community safe and healthy.
