As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, I hope everyone has an opportunity to slow down, enjoy the company of loved ones, and reflect on the blessings we share as a community and a country. This holiday gives us a chance to appreciate the moments that enrich our lives throughout the year.

I am grateful for the kindness and resilience I see every day from the people of Wisconsin’s Sixth District. I’m thankful for my family and friends who brighten my life, and for the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy as Americans that too many around the world do not have.

I also want to extend my thanks to the brave men and women serving in our Armed Forces. Many will spend this holiday far from home, protecting our safety and defending the liberties we cherish. We owe them, and the families who support them, a deep debt of gratitude. We honor as well those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

As you celebrate with your family, I pray this Thanksgiving brings joy and a spirit of gratitude.
