Dear John,

As we gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to share what's on my heart.

I won't sugarcoat it - these are challenging times. Our country is too divided, the onslaught of policies and headlines from DC can be exhausting, and sometimes it can feel like the deck is stacked against working families just trying to get by. I know that weight. I feel it too.

But here's what I also know: even in difficult seasons, there is so much to be grateful for. And today, I want to tell you what I'm most thankful for.

You.

I'm thankful for every single one of you who has supported our efforts, and Democrats across the country. Who showed up when it mattered. Who have refused to give up on the vision of a democracy that works for everyone.

You give me energy every single day. When I'm tired, I think about the folks who are counting on us. When days on the road get long, I remember the coalition we've built together - people from all walks of life, united by the belief that we deserve better and that we can build it together.

That's not nothing. That's everything.

So this Thanksgiving, I hope you get the chance to take a step back and rest for a bit. Eat too much. Laugh loudly. You've earned it.

Take this time to restore your spirit. I’m going to do the same, because we've got work to do. We're going to finish this year strong.

But for now, have a beautiful, peaceful Thanksgiving. Thank you as always.
