Happy Thanksgiving, John!
I am taking a quick break from end-of-month work to celebrate the holiday with my family. I hope you're getting some time off to celebrate with yours, too!
Here is a little Thanksgiving-themed throwback for you…back during my days as a TV News Anchor, I showed the people of Pennsylvania how to make my famous smashed potatoes.

I always say you can never have too many potatoes at Thanksgiving! From what tastes good to what feels good, smashed potatoes are my ultimate comfort food. And they're a crowd pleaser. Hopefully, my recipe will help you wow your crowd this holiday season!
- Take the biggest potatoes you can find. I like to use Idaho potatoes! You are going to wash and peel them, and then toss those babies in a pot to boil with a bunch of salt.
- Once they are boiled, strain them, and then get them right back into the hot pot you boiled them in. Add some butter and a little olive oil, and set them aside.
- In a saucepan, add some chicken bouillon and water or chicken stock, a whole lot of garlic cloves, celery salt, celery seed, and, for a little kick, some cayenne pepper.
- Once those ingredients are heated and combined, pour the mixture over the potatoes and add some sour cream and a little milk.
- The final step is to smash it together! I like to use a hand masher. It was my grandmother's, and it does the trick!
Now, the dark money propping up my opponent doesn't slow down for Thanksgiving, so my team and I are still on a tight fundraising deadline at the end of the month. If you could chip in, we would be so grateful!

Thank you so much for everything that you do. It does not go unnoticed! I am so thankful this holiday season, and every day, that I have such an incredible team working with me. We will deliver better for PA next November. I know it.
All the best,
Janelle
