Dear John,
Thanksgiving is a time of reflection. At the National Council on Aging, we have much to be thankful for, including our dedicated staff and partners, our supporters, and our incredible advocates like you.
Like you, our mission is deeply personal. Each of us has someone in our life—a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, mentor, or friend—who helped to shape who we are today. Aging touches the people we love most, and thanks to your support, we can be there when older adults need us most.
Last year alone, we impacted the lives of millions of older adults by expanding access to benefits, preventing falls, managing chronic conditions, strengthening local community organizations, advocating for the policies we all need to age well, and so much more.
As we look ahead to the coming year our mission is even greater: to create the conditions for everyone to age with dignity, purpose, and security, today and into the future. We know this work cannot be done alone, and we are so grateful to include you on this journey. With your partnership, we are able to strengthen the network of aging services in communities nationwide and to fiercely protect the federal programs we all depend on to age well.
From our team at NCOA, we wish both you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving and look forward to sharing updates on the work ahead.
With gratitude,
