But the thing I am most thankful for this year isn’t on the table—it’s the community that surrounds it. It’s you.  This past year, you have shown me that this is so much more than a campaign for a seat. It is a campaign for our neighbors.  I’ve watched this community turn compassion into a fighting force. When ICE raided our streets and federal agents came to Chicago, you didn’t hide. You stood shoulder-to-shoulder with neighbors you’d never met. You helped educate local businesses on their rights. You shielded the vulnerable from fear. When the government shut down and SNAP benefits stalled, you didn’t wait for permission to help. You are the ones who turned our office into a donation center for local foodbanks. You filled the gap that broken politics left behind, ensuring that families right here in our district didn’t go to bed hungry. Over the last few months, you have welcomed me into your living rooms and backyards at over 190 meet and greets. You shared your fears with me, but more importantly, you shared your unshakeable hope. And yes, I am deeply grateful for the financial support you’ve entrusted to us. I know that every dollar you give is a sacrifice. Because of your generosity, we have the resources not just to run ads, but to serve. You have allowed us to do the work now, long before Election Day ever arrives.
