Today, we're feeling especially grateful: for our amazing, courageous candidates, for the voters who showed up en masse to elect them this year, and for our Vote Pro-Choice community.
2025 wasn’t just a year of holding the line. It was a year of big, history-making wins for reproductive freedom in some of the toughest terrain in the country. Together, we elected candidates who will champion our values and fight for our fundamental freedoms.
Here are just a few victories that our grassroots supporters made possible:
- A clean sweep in Virginia’s statewide races, which included electing Ghazala Hashmi as Lieutenant Governor, making her the first Muslim woman to win statewide election in any state
- Flipping thirteen seats in the Virginia House to create the largest Democratic House majority in almost four decades
- Victories in five districts that were won by Trump just a year ago
- A surge in youth turnout, with all three Virginia Tech polling locations surpassing their 2024 turnout, and young women helping to deliver decisive, historic victories for Abigail Spanberger in Virginia and Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey
These victories were never inevitable. We won these races because we invested early, talked to voters consistently, exposed the records of GOP incumbents, and backed candidates who were not afraid to lead with reproductive freedom.
Most importantly, we won these races because people like you showed up. Thank you for believing in this work, for standing up for our pro-choice values, and for helping us build the communities we want to live in, one election at a time.
