Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. Every year at this time, I return to the words of Connecticut Governor Wilbur Cross who in 1936 wrote that “we’ve come by a way that we did not know to the end of another year."

This has turned out to be another challenging and surprising year, and I’m glad to have come all this way with you by my side.

Today and every day, I am thankful for the people in my life, my husband, sons and daughters-in-law, our grandchildren — and our broader family, friends, and community.

I’m also incredibly grateful for all my constituents and my supporters. It is one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve you all in Congress, and I am thankful for your confidence in my ability to serve our communities at home and in Washington.

From my family to yours, I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful holiday — a time of togetherness, warmth, and joy.
