Friends, 

 

I hope you are doing well. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you in the 11th Congressional District who make working for you in Washington, D.C. a true honor. This is a season that reminds us of the importance of faith, family, and freedom; and we give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us and our great country. While there is always work to be done to address the challenges facing America, I believe there is great opportunity as well.

 

As a nation, we are united by common principles and a belief in the timeless words penned by Thomas Jefferson, that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” In America, we are blessed with the freedom to live out these ideals, and we give thanks for those who serve to protect them. As we celebrate this Thanksgiving, let’s remember those that cannot be with their families, as they are committed to ensuring our freedom, and pray for their safety and wellbeing.

 

May all of you have a healthy, safe, and joyful holiday season as well.
