I’ve said this before, but asking for contributions from supporters like you is my least favorite part of the job. I know it seems strange: How can just a few dollars make an impact in a competitive race like mine?
If everyone reading this email chipped what they could, we would instantly hit our online fundraising goal. Not only would we be better prepared for the attacks to come, we would send an unmistakable message of our grassroots strength in this race.
I flipped this seat from red to blue in one of the closest races in the country last year – we won by 653 votes. It showed me just how important every vote, and every person, is to our movement.
I’m fighting hard in Congress to deliver for CA-45 and beyond, but I’ll be frank: Without a Democratic majority, it’s extremely difficult to hold this administration accountable.
Protecting this seat is the key to flipping the House. We’re starting our re-election efforts right now, and your support today could truly mean the difference between falling to Republican attacks or rising above the noise and keeping this seat blue.
