Archives: Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott

December 1 marks the 70th anniversary of Rosa Parks' refusal to move from her bus seat, defying Jim Crow and sparking the 381-day Montgomery Bus Boycott. In 1981, Southern Exposure captured the stories of Southern organizers involved in the effort, and in 2015 Chris Kromm wrote about the strategic genius of the boycott in Facing South.
