Hey John, I know most of us are counting down the hours until Thanksgiving. Whether you’re traveling or cooking a big feast for your family or just looking forward to a day off, you probably have better things to do than read my email. So I’ll make this quick.

Fundraising has been particularly difficult this month for a lot of campaigns, and this slump has hit us too.

I know that after Thanksgiving, the corporate holiday shopping frenzy is going to be even harder to break through. Our inboxes are going to be dumpster fires of Black Friday sales. So we need to make up some ground today before that drowns us out.

This is where the power of our movement comes in. If enough people give just what they can afford, it adds up quickly.

If you can spare $5 or a donation of any amount that makes sense for you today, it would go a long way. I’m counting on a surge of donations to make sure we have the resources to take back Texas.
