At AFSP, it is our mission to deepen conversations about mental health and suicide prevention, and to help more people connected to the cause share their stories and perspectives. 
 
That’s why we worked with Hueman Group Media to launch the [AFSP Podcast Channel]([link removed]), now the official home for three unique series focused on mental health, suicide prevention, and health equity: 

- Strong Talk, hosted by Victor (Vic) Armstrong, MSW, AFSP’s vice president for health equity and engagement, featuring in-depth conversations with mental health experts, advocates, and leaders about the challenges and solutions to making mental health care accessible to all

- Ask Dr. Jill, hosted by Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman, AFSP’s senior vice president of research, answering real mental health questions with the latest scientific research and help from fellow experts in the field 

- Elevating Voices, a roundtable discussion series –– hosted by Vic Armstrong and other AFSP leaders and clinical experts –– that brings together members of diverse communities to uncover the unique mental health challenges they face and discuss strategies for solving them 

Suicide prevention research underlines the importance for underrepresented communities of having their unique experiences and needs reflected in the resources available to them. The AFSP Podcast Channel is part of our larger, ongoing effort to advance health equity in suicide prevention and support communities with disproportionate impacts related to suicide.
