On behalf of all of us at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, we hope you have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! |

As you prepare to gather with your loved ones on Thanksgiving, I’d like to take a moment to say THANK YOU for everything you do to support our critical fight in Washington to protect the benefits you’ve paid into and earned after a lifetime of hard work. |
Thank you for your commitment to defending the earned Social Security and Medicare benefits that millions of older Americans rely on for their health and financial security. Thank you for raising your voice when Social Security and Medicare have been threatened. And thank you for standing with us in a year when uncertainty in Washington has made your engagement more important than ever. |

Your advocacy continues to remind Congress that Americans expect — and deserve — leadership that strengthens, rather than weakens, the programs seniors count on. |
But even as we pause for this season of gratitude, we know threats to seniors’ benefits loom large. Efforts to reduce or restructure Social Security and Medicare haven’t stopped — and they won’t take a holiday. We must remain vigilant together, united to ensure that these vital programs remain strong for today’s retirees and future generations. |
That’s why your National Committee is working ‘round the clock to present members of Congress and officials in the Trump Administration with the facts about how proposals to cut earned benefits, including cutting COLAs by using the “Chained CPI” to calculate benefits, could deliver a devastating blow to seniors like you. |
Without your strong support, we simply wouldn’t have the clout we need to make our case to preserve these vital programs. It fuels everything we do and we are truly grateful to have you in this fight. |
On behalf of our entire team here at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, we wish you and your family a happy and safe Thanksgiving. |
