Dear John,
In this season of reflection, we’re especially grateful for all of the brilliant work and collaborations we’ve been a part of this past year—efforts that keep our movement alive and our coalition and community energized.
This past month brought two exciting milestones:
Our first-ever Plastic Pollution Solutions Expo – an open-market style event featuring Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC) Business Members Ahimsa, Cruz Foam, Ettitude, Notpla, and many more. Our Expo was designed to generate curiosity and help inspire familiarity with upstream solutions to the plastic pollution crisis.
TEDxGreatPacificGarbagePatch brought together leaders, innovators, and changemakers from across industries to address the urgent crisis of plastic pollution. We heard from California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and experts including Dr. Marcus Eriksen, Suzanne Smoke, Dr. Leonardo Trasande, Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., and many, many more. The event was amazing and we’ll be sharing links to the talks very soon!
In case you missed it:
Five winners of our horror short film competition Plastic Kills… Again! were announced last month. And if you missed our major report launch, How Plastics Fuel Wildfires & How to Rebuild Better, check it out here.
Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement as we tell the truth about plastic pollution and amplify real solutions. Wishing you & yours a healthy and happy holiday season from all of us at PPC.
With Gratitude,

Jen Fela Vice President, Programs & Communications Plastic Pollution Coalition
P.S. Please consider supporting us for Giving Tuesday—every donation matters and helps fund our critical work during these uncertain times. |
