John, folks are always asking, “How do we fight back?” Resistance is a multi-pronged approach, and one simple and effective tool is the power of your purse.

And this holiday season is a prime opportunity to show the power of this pro-democracy anti-autocrat movement we are building.

Weaintbuyingit.com is a movement to take economic action to defend democracy and reclaim community power. We are redirecting our time and money away from companies that bow down to autocrats and towards local, small, and humane businesses.

So, this November 27th - December 1st, I am asking you to not shop at Target, Amazon, or Home Depot from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. And, if you can, use and share their toolkit for this weekend of action with your networks. Together, we can enact real consequences for the corporations that enable autocracy.
