First: Mark Kelly and other veterans in Congress posted a video reminding
members of the military they do not have to comply with illegal orders.
They called on service members to uphold their oath to protect and defend
the U.S. Constitution.

Then: Donald Trump accused them of sedition and called for Mark Kelly to
be hanged. These remarks are not just shocking or just offensive — they
are bizarre, erratic, and volatile. It is not normal to invoke these kinds
of threats of violence.

Now: The Department of Defense is coming after Mark Kelly and threatening
to court-martial him in a blatant act of political persecution.

This is a classic Trump move: attempt to rule with total disregard for the
law, and attack anyone who dares to speak out.

We’ll only get through these times if each of us does everything we can to
hold the administration accountable. We need to stand with people like
Mark Kelly who are taking on personal risk to stop Trump’s abuse of power.
