About the job
As a Maintenance Mechanic 2, you will maintain and repair a variety of HVAC and mechanical systems, including steam boilers, central steam distribution components, air handlers, VAV units, dampers, belts, pulleys, and refrigeration equipment used in air conditioning and ventilation. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and service electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems, as well as lay out, fabricate, and install temperature and humidity controls. You will also perform preventive maintenance on water-treatment systems such as cooling towers and chilled/hot water loops, monitor and adjust building control systems, conduct HVAC operations and repairs, and develop cost estimates to support maintenance planning.
