I was raised in Idaho, built a ranch, and now I fight for you in Washington.

Friend,

I’m Senator Jim Risch — lifelong Idahoan, former Governor, and proud conservative representing the great people of Idaho in the U.S. Senate.

Jim Risch Headshot

I wanted to take a moment to personally introduce myself, and tell you what I’m fighting for.

I’ve spent my career defending limited government, personal responsibility, law and order, national security, and the conservative principles that made this country strong. I’ve always believed in doing what’s right, not what’s popular in Washington.

But long before I ever ran for office, I was just a kid in Idaho learning the value of hard work.

Jim Risch and Family

I was born to a lineman and a school cafeteria worker. I worked my way through college cleaning carpets, serving food, and harvesting peas. I earned my degree in forestry at the University of Idaho, then a law degree, and went on to run a successful law firm, two small businesses, and a ranch near Boise — where my wife Vicki and I live today.

Vicki and I have been married for 57 years. We’ve raised three sons, gained three wonderful daughters-in-law, and are blessed with nine grandchildren. Idaho is home, and it always will be.

With President Trump back in the White House and Republicans in control of the Senate, we have a real opportunity to get this country back on track.

But to finish the job, we have to defend every inch of this Senate majority — starting with my seat right here in Idaho.

That’s why I’ve announced my re-election campaign for 2026, and I’m asking you to join me.

Chip in $25, $50, or whatever you can to help launch this campaign strong.

Thank you for being part of the team. I’m proud to represent Idaho, and I won’t stop fighting for our shared values.

All my best,

Jim Risch
U.S. Senator for Idaho
