North Carolina already had one of the most gerrymandered maps in the country, folks.

Now, the state’s new, even more extreme gerrymander will silence the voices of millions of North Carolinians, particularly Black voters in Representative Don Davis’s district.

We must call this what it is: Disenfranchising Black voters by depriving them of the ability to be represented by a leader of their choosing.

Republicans have a long record of passing unfair maps that discriminate against Black voters. They did it in Texas. They did it in Missouri. And now they’ve done it in North Carolina.

We’ve got to make sure these cynical power grabs backfire on Republicans. The NDRC is building power across the country to help voters hold these lawmakers accountable and ensure the will of the people is heard in the midterm elections.

We’re working around the clock to defend the voting rights of Black and other minority communities, but we’re facing an unprecedented series of attacks on democracy and we need your help. Will you donate now to power this work defending our democracy from those who would tear it down? [[link removed]]
