Friend,
We asked young people and parents to sign a letter to key Congressional House and Senate Armed Services leaders demanding that they reject a provision in critical legislation that would prevent states from protecting their citizens from emerging AI risks, leaving young people and families vulnerable.
Over two thousand people signed on. And it was published in Bloomberg today!
This letter has made one thing clear: people want Big Tech to be held accountable for the products they create. And the main way we’re going to get accountability is by demanding our leaders take action.
We need to keep the pressure on: send a letter to your lawmakers, demanding that they oppose bans on AI regulation.
SEND A LETTER
We’ve seen the dangers of unregulated Big Tech through our experiences on social media: predatory behavior, inappropriate content, and addictive algorithms, just to name a few.
While we’re still discovering the dangers of AI, we know that its development has major environmental impacts, that it can hallucinate information, is scraping our data and selling it to the highest bidder to get us to buy things, and is already acting inappropriately with young people.
Regulations around AI will provide protections for all of us. And our lawmakers need to know that we expect them to act in our best interest. Send a letter now.
In solidarity,
