As we reflect on the work happening across Texas, we want to express our appreciation for our partners at Pflugerville ISD. Our team recently completed another Big Decisions training with their educators. Since approving the program in 2018, they have welcomed us every year, making this one of our longest-standing ISD partnerships.

We’re grateful for their ongoing commitment to providing students with trusted, age-appropriate sexual health education.

impact in action

Our Texas Youth-Friendly Initiative (TYFI) has launched its 6th cohort of adolescent-serving clinical teams — the largest cohort in the program’s history. This year’s group includes five Houston clinics and two Dallas clinics, expanding the reach of youth-centered care across Texas.

TYFI works to ensure that young people ages 10–24 can access healthcare that is welcoming, affirming, and responsive to their needs. Over an 18-month period, we lead participating clinics through the Adolescent Champion Model (ACM), a structured process that strengthens youth-friendly environments, policies, and practices.

We look forward to supporting this new cohort as they work to create healthcare spaces where young people feel respected, informed, and empowered.

HFTX Classroom is a new e-learning platform designed for educators, healthcare professionals, and community partners. It offers flexible, self-paced online courses and more than 20 continuing education units (CEUs) for social workers, licensed professional counselors, community health workers, public health professionals, and more.

The platform brings our decades of health education expertise to your fingertips through interactive modules, videos, quizzes, and accessible learning features.

Coming Soon: CHW Certification Program

We’re preparing to launch a Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification Program to build a strong network of trusted community members dedicated to improving maternal, child, and adolescent health.

This program will expand opportunities for individuals working to strengthen connections to care, share vital health information, and support families across Texas.

The Healthy Futures Symposium returns for its 15th year, bringing together Texas’ youth- and women-serving professionals for hands-on training and expert insights. Our full program is now live. Review the Schedule at a Glance here.

The Symposium will take place in person April 27–29, 2026 in Round Rock, with a virtual day on April 30.

Join Ashley Ariail, LPC-S, CEDS, for a practical conversation on preventing and responding to eating disorders. With 15 years of experience supporting children and families, Ashley will cover how food and weight stigma contribute to disordered eating, the types of eating disorders and their complications, and ways educators can model balanced approaches to food and physical activity.

Earlier this month, we gathered in San Antonio for our Annual Luncheon, bringing together community leaders to support the health and futures of Texas youth and women.

This year’s program featured special recognitions, including honoring our award recipients, Dr. Lynne Cossman and Lea Rosenauer, as well as celebrating Evelyn Delgado and congratulating her on her retirement.

We also shared a meaningful moment with three generations of HFTX leadership — Dr. Janet Realini, Evelyn Delgado, and Ginger Mullaney — reflecting the continuity and strength of our organization and our mission.

We are deeply grateful for our partners in San Antonio and throughout Texas, whose support makes a meaningful and lasting impact on our work.
