Trump Wants to Pollute Our Waters
Americans overwhelmingly say that protecting clean water in our nation’s lakes, streams, and rivers is important. Wetlands protect our communities during floods, improve our water quality, and provide safe drinking water, and provide wildlife habitat. Yet the Trump administration just proposed a "Polluted Water Rule" that hands corporations a license to damage our country's streams and headwaters.
Send in a comment to tell the EPA that we need strong water protections!

The Endangered Species Act is Under Attack
The Endangered Species Act is the last line of defense for species facing extinction like the gray wolf, grizzly bear, and orca. But now the Trump administration is trying to dismantle this landmark law. Last week they published draft regulations that, if enacted, would decrease critical protections for imperiled species.
Submit a comment to the US Fish and Wildlife Service today asking them to maintain strong protections for endangered species!

Indigenous Voices Rose at COP30 While Forest Protection Fell Short
Despite its branding, the UN climate meeting COP30 fell short of the commitments needed to fight climate change and protect vulnerable nations. The summit was promoted as the “Amazonian COP,” and although Indigenous activists were present on the streets and around the venue, many said their access to decision-making spaces remained limited.
Read more about how Indigenous presence shaped the atmosphere and the protests, but the annual UN climate summit ended with much to be resolved.

Conservation Leaders Unite to Oppose Steve Pearce BLM Nomination
The president's new pick to lead the nation's largest land management agency built his career on privatizing public land. Steve Pearce has spent the last few decades quietly propping up and profiting from the oil and gas industry.
His nomination to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is another sign that this administration favors profits over people and the public.

Hurricane Melissa Is a Reminder of Our Dangerous New Reality as the Climate Crisis Accelerates

These types of massive storms -- and the devastating impacts that result -- are a sign of what is in store as the fossil-fueled climate crisis accelerates, scientists warn.
