When you add a hyperlink, phone number, or email address in the Script Details text editor, it will now appear as a clickable link in MiniVAN!

Previously, URLs weren’t clickable, forcing users to copy and paste them into a browser. Now, resources like voter registration pages or help sites are just one tap away.

We want to thank the many users who took the recent NGP VAN product feedback survey! Thanks to an overwhelming response, we have plenty of feedback to keep in mind as we build our 2026 roadmap for the next big elections.

As a thank-you:

A new NGP VAN navigation and homepage beta experience is here!

Committee admins got a preview starting September 17, and all users got a preview starting November 12 (November 13 for VoteBuilder).

You can test out — and provide feedback on — our improved navigation and homepage design with easier-to-use menu and customization options.

This is an early look at how we’re directionally thinking about future navigation – and your feedback will directly shape where we go from here. It’s a work in progress, and we’re listening closely — every comment will be reviewed by our team.

To leave feedback, select Provide Feedback from the homepage sidebar and then Navigation & Homepage Feedback.

The new Waitlist feature allows organizers to collect interest from supporters when events reach full capacity. If a spot opens up due to cancellations or capacity increases, the organizer will be able to select a supporter from the waitlist to take the available spot.

Soon, organizers will be able to close shifts in advance on Mobilize, giving you more control and predictability when planning events.

With this new feature, you can set a cut-off time for each shift. After the cut-off:

• The shift stops accepting new signups
• It’s hidden from event feeds

Closing shifts ahead of time helps you confirm your volunteer list early, so you can:

• Allocate resources more efficiently
• Communicate with attendees in advance
• Avoid last-minute signups or no-shows

This feature is optional, customizable per shift, and very easy to set up!

We’ve made some behind-the-scenes updates to the Mobilize event map to make searching more intuitive and helpful.

What’s new:

• You’ll now see all events when searching by state or city, no more overly narrow radius filtering
• Map zoom levels are more consistent, so results better match your view
• “Nearby” events are now based on your zoom level or search context, not a fixed distance

These changes should make it easier for supporters to discover relevant events and explore different areas with confidence!

Soon, we’ll be testing a small update to the search bar on mobilize.us to help more supporters find events faster.

What’s changing:

• A more visible, easier-to-spot search bar on the homepage
• Helpful placeholder text
• Suggested popular queries to guide new visitors

This update is designed to make it easier for supporters to discover and sign up to your events!
