Dear John,

Last month, I shared that I will be stepping away from my role as Ms. Foundation President & CEO at the end of our fiscal year. It was a big moment—one I was admittedly nervous to share with a community that has walked with me, challenged me, and inspired me throughout my tenure.

Since then, I’ve been moved by the outpouring of support and encouragement. I want to take a moment to give a heartfelt thank you: to our grantee and movement partners for trusting me and the Foundation through this process, to our staff and Board of Directors for managing the many pieces of this transition with intention and care, and to all of you—our community of supporters—for your kind, encouraging words, and for sharing in our excitement about what comes next.

Twelve years ago, this role was very different. The Foundation has grown—in grantmaking, in reputation, in the work we’re able to do—and this role has grown alongside it. Our next leader will inherit a strong, dedicated organization, and the opportunity to dream boldly about what comes next.

I’m very excited to share that the search for our next President & CEO is now officially open—you can learn more and apply here. We ask for your support in sharing this opportunity with your networks to help us find the visionary leader who will carry this vital work forward

In solidarity,

Grantee Partner Spotlight: Soulforce

For 25 years, Soulforce has been helping communities heal from weaponized religion. Soulforce staff and members are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and trans kids—plus their allied friends and family—who were rejected by traditional religious spaces.

“Much of the change we need today won’t come from legislation alone or from within a democratic system that’s currently so fragile. Instead, it requires deep cultural transformation driven by relationship-building and community-centered work.”

In our latest grantee partner spotlight, learn more about their experiential spiritual spaces, and what gives them hope for the future.

Light bites and wine will be served. We want you to feel comfortable, and know many guests will be arriving from work – so please come as you are. Bring a friend, co-worker or family member with you! Attendance is free, but RSVP is required, which you can do here!

We have been here before, and we know how to win. Backwards policies in 2025 are playing by old rules in their attempt to roll back hard-won women’s rights. With your support, we can build the capacity of grassroots organizations who are fighting for progress nationwide.
