John,

I wanted to share with you an update about our end-of-year giving challenge.

Since announcing that we have two donors willing to match up to $1 million, supporters like you have already given in a major way! We're about half-way to our goal, and we are making real progress to unlock every dollar that will go toward protecting patients' rights.

But we are not at the finish line yet. Last week, you heard Jane's story. Every new or increased gift brings us closer to fully meeting this match and making sure people like Jane are not coerced to end their lives.

Your gift doubles our ability to:

- Respond quickly to new threats of assisted suicide legislation in the states

- Educate lawmakers, medical professionals, and the public on the dangers of these laws

- Help us overturn assisted suicide laws through our strategic litigation

Through December 31, your donation will get us closer to our goal and make a lasting difference in our nation.

Won’t you join us? Please be as generous as you can! Our time is now. If you’d like to give via your DAF, IRA, or would like to give a gift of stock through a transfer of marketable securities, please be in touch for more details.

Thank you VERY much for your time and consideration!

Respectfully,

Matt Vallière

Executive Director
Institute For Patients' Rights

*This match is for any new or increased gift over last year's donation.

The Institute for Patients' Rights (IPR) is a 501(c)(3) founded to conduct research, educates the public, and work to expand and implement tools of empowerment for older adults, people with disabilities, marginalized persons, and their families to combat policies and medical practices that devalue some people’s lives, putting them at great risk of deadly harm, as with assisted suicide laws.
