Dear John,

This Thanksgiving, all of us at the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) are grateful for you—our partner in keeping families together.

Your support empowers NIJC’s life-changing legal services, advocacy, and defense for immigrants and their families.

As attacks against due process and our immigrant communities escalate, your courageous support has helped prevent family separations, preserve due process, and ensure our neighbors are not left to face injustice alone.

Here’s what supporters like you have said about why they chose to give to NIJC this year:

“It’s hard to know what to do in times like these, but I do know I cannot stand by idly and hope things get better.”

“I do not want to stand on the sidelines and fret. I want to do something...One ray of hope is the work your organization is doing to represent the victims of our government’s inhumane and cruel policy. I was moved to donate.”

“While my contribution is small, I do hope it can do some good and slowly bring America back to a place it has always been intended. That is, a place that lifts people up and doesn't tear them down just because they are ‘different.’”

Together, we are building a more compassionate and welcoming country. One where justice, dignity, and opportunity prevail, and where families and communities can thrive.

Thank you for being a part of the NIJC community. This work, and the impact it has for thousands of people and families would not be possible without donors like you. We wish you and your loved ones a joyous and meaningful Thanksgiving.

With gratitude,
Mary Meg McCarthy
