Labour has been making the news!

Kia ora ,

Have you heard the news? Labour's momentum is growing as more and more talented, passionate candidates join Labour’s 2026 team.

You already know what’s at stake in this election. Christopher Luxon promised to fix the economy and bring down the cost of living, but instead he's making both things worse. That’s why we must — and will — return to Government in 2026. And to get there, we need quality candidates and your support. Can you chip in $26 for Campaign 2026?

We're so proud of our brand new candidates who are already energising our movement. Here's a little about just three of them:

Gary Payinda — Labour candidate for Whangārei
An emergency doctor for nearly 20 years, Gary sees the consequences of National’s underfunding of health every day. With service on school boards and the Northland District Health Board, Gary brings deep community insight and a commitment to improving health outcomes for all New Zealanders.

Sophie Handford — Labour candidate for Kāpiti
First elected to local council at just 18, Sophie has already championed major policy initiatives, including the Tomorrow Together campaign for a Future Generations Act. She brings fresh leadership, proven advocacy, and values in action. Sophie was the co-founder of New Zealand’s chapter of School Strike for Climate.

Craig Renney — Labour candidate for Wellington Bays
An economist and policy leader for the Council of Trade Unions, Craig knows what happens when communities are left behind. He’s standing to strengthen Labour’s voice for working people and their whānau, focusing on jobs, health, homes, and the cost of living.

These candidates reflect the experience, integrity, and energy we need to win — but to share their stories with voters across the country, we need your help. Will you help drive the momentum toward victory in 2026 by making a $26 contribution today?

Your support helps us get the message out and build a campaign capable of winning back Government. , can you chip in now?

Let’s look back after election night and know that we did it — together.

Onward to 2026,

Rob Salmond, General Secretary

Jobs. Health. Homes.
