John,
The GOP attacks on Kris Mayes are heating up. Can you help us fight back?
Last week, the Goldwater Institute sued Kris for public records related to her lawsuit against corporate landlords and RealPage for price-fixing.
This comes after Kris sued nine residential landlords and RealPage in 2024 for conspiring to illegally raise rents for hundreds of thousands of Arizona renters. The Goldwater Institute filed a public records request last April. Kris's office responded and produced all documents required under Arizona law.
But that wasn't good enough. Now they're suing.
Since then, Warren Petersen — one of Kris's Republican opponents — has sent tweets implying that, somehow, by enforcing the law, Kris is actually breaking the law.
Let's be clear: Kris is being attacked because she's effective.
She sued corporate landlords for driving up rents. She's fighting Trump's illegal tariffs at the Supreme Court. She saved Arizona $1.5 billion through lawsuits against the Trump administration. She protected SNAP benefits for 900,000 Arizonans.
And Republicans don't want an Attorney General who holds corporate bad actors accountable.
Unfortunately, this is often what happens when you stand up to powerful interests. They come after you.
We need to be ready for more attacks as we enter 2026 and get closer to what will be a grueling AG’s race. Can you chip in today to show your support?
Republicans can sue and manufacture scandals all they want. Kris will keep doing her job: protecting Arizona families and bringing bad guys to justice.
With gratitude,
Team Mayes
