A federal judge dismissed the indictments ([link removed]) against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
In twin rulings, Judge Cameron McGowan Currie found that the appointment of Lindsey Halligan as interim U.S. attorney was invalid and unlawful. Halligan was picked by President Donald Trump to bring criminal charges against his political foes when a predecessor refused. Amna Nawaz discussed more with NPR's Carrie Johnson.
