We are organizing across the largest congressional district in Michigan to end the worst income inequality since the Great Depression, to fight for an affordable L.I.F.E.
America promises everyone a fair shot at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So what’s in a LIFE? Local housing. Income. Food. Essential healthcare.
This platform isn’t earthshattering, and that’s the point. Government isn’t working for us.
When people can’t access these basic building blocks, we’re failing on both our founding promises as a nation, and the idea of a truly representative democracy.
L ocal housing costs have skyrocketed.
I ncome has remained stagnant.
F ood prices keep climbing.
E ssential healthcare remains out of reach for too many.
But there is a path forward.
And this fight isn’t just about economics —it’s about restoring people’s voice in government and strengthening democracy itself.

Issue Spotlight: L.I.F.E.

The American Dream is too often just that - a dream. Hard work should mean it's a reality.
Local housing : Northern and Upper Michigan face a growing housing crisis as rents rise, wages lag, and long-term homes disappear into short-term rentals and outside investment.
Income : Incomes in Northern and Upper Michigan have stayed flat while costs rise, creating historic inequality driven by policy choices that favored the wealthy.
Food : Too many families in our district are food insecure, and recent cuts to the USDA have made it harder for food pantries to buy from local farmers and keep shelves stocked.
Essential healthcare : Healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and no one’s wealth should determine whether they live or die. Cuts to Medicaid threaten access to care in Northern and Upper Michigan, putting entire communities at risk of losing programs or even their local hospitals.

Callie on the road 🚗
[[link removed]] We have been traveling across Northern and Upper Michigan, most recently hitting St. Ignace and Cheboygan.
No matter where we go—above the bridge or below it—the story is the same: people are working hard, doing their best, and still struggling to afford the essentials they need to live their lives with dignity. From housing and groceries to childcare and health care, families are being stretched too thin. Together, let’s stand up for an affordable life and a future where every Michigander can thrive.
Together, let's fight for an affordable life.

Service Spotlight 💡
[[link removed]] This week, we’re celebrating Field Captain Jim Page of Chippewa County . Jim is a Sault Ste. Marie resident, a military veteran, and a former middle school teacher.
Since joining the team, Jim has been an incredibly active volunteer—showing up for press briefs, attending events, and helping bring more people into the movement. With Jim’s leadership, we’re building the momentum we need to organize Sault Ste. Marie and win.
Thank you, Jim! We appreciate you!
