Over the last few months, Louise and I have heard and listened to you. Because of the encouragement we’ve gotten I’ve decided to run for Governor of Alabama. This office is so important to the folks of Alabama, and Alabama deserves a governor that is going to fight for them.

We all know that this is a critical time for Alabama. It’s hard to see families and people you care about struggle - the costs of the most basic stuff in life - food, housing, and healthcare are getting further out of reach. Jobs aren’t paying more. In rural communities and big cities, the gap between living costs and income keeps growing. We need a plan and action to give Alabama a real path, real relief and economic opportunity.
What Louise and I are going to do is visit and listen to the people across the state. We’re going to bring people back to the state capitol in Montgomery.
