3,600+ feds get notice their shutdown RIFs are rescinded

The end of the record-breaking government shutdown last week was good news for federal employees in general, but none more so than the thousands who were told they would lose their jobs entirely. Each of the more than 3,000 federal workers who had received RIF notices during the shutdown have now been formally notified that those RIFs have been cancelled. Read more

It's Day 12 of Starbucks Workers United's national, open-ended ULP strike. Today, striking baristas are taking the picket line to Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol's office in Newport Beach, CA. Retail workers at Bloomingdale's ratify new contract

UFCW Local 400 members working at Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase, MD voted overwhelmingly to approve a new contract on November 5.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette workers end longest strike in the U.S.

The longest running strike in the U.S. finally came to an end today as journalists who walked off the job three years ago showed up to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette headquarters this morning to resume work. Strikers returned to work following a victory in the court of appeals. Read more »

Referrals and donations are currently open for the Community Services Agency's 2025 Holiday Basket Program. The annual program, now in its third decade, is designed to make a family’s holiday season a little bit brighter. Make referrals for the Christmas season by Friday, December 5, or contributions to the program by Friday, December 12.
