Good. Because we’re about to mess with the status quo.

Today we’re launching our 2025 end-of-year fundraising campaign, The Bigger Picture. It’s got a punk edge for a reason: LGBTQ+ youth are being dragged into everyone else’s culture wars. At It Gets Better, we’re done playing nice with the doomscroll. We’re focused on the young people we serve.

Our job is simple: to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth so they can see a future that actually includes them.

That looks like a student who used to eat lunch alone running their school’s first GSA because a youth-led grant made it possible. A trans teen speaking at a school board meeting with words they practiced as a Youth Voices ambassador. A young person who is still exploring their identity, discovering community and purpose through our digital programming.

Your support is the reason those moments exist.

Since 2022, you’ve helped move $1.6 million into more than 170 youth-led projects that are changing schools and communities from the inside out. You’ve backed Youth Voices, where LGBTQ+ young people learn to tell their stories and fight for the change they want to see in the world. You’ve helped us create storytelling campaigns, build digital safe spaces, and develop resources and workshops so queer youth can advocate for themselves and each other.

One of our Youth Voices ambassadors, Renc, put it perfectly:

“At It Gets Better, we hope for better laws, better attitudes, better treatment. Do we have them now? No, but we keep fighting, together, because we know there are better times to come.”

Our goal is to raise $150,000 by December 31 to keep this work growing in 2026. As we hit fundraising milestones, we’ll unlock and reveal special content — celebrity videos, surprises from our partners, and powerful moments from the young people you’re backing. Each unlock is a reminder: your support is creating more impact in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth.
