AI data centers are popping up everywhere, and they're causing problems: noise, using too much water, and now, much bigger electric bills for you.

They use a massive amount of power, and that huge demand is already pushing up the cost of electricity for residents in the Pittsburgh area. 

We need to take action to hold data centers accountable and protect Pennsylvanians from paying the price. That’s why I’m working on legislation right now that does just that.

Data centers must help pay for programs that assist low-income residents with utility costs and pay for the upgrades to the electric grid that are only being done because of their huge power needs. Big tech companies must pay their fair share instead of passing the bill to you.
